Willow (4)

Willow is in Pre-K and will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. She is full of big emotions and is a little chatterbox in the car and around the dinner table. She's starting to show some interest in gymnastics and ballet.

Gavin (6)

Gavin is in Kindergarten and has been active in soccer and basketball. He loves math and is on track to complete his PhD by his mid-teens. Okay, that may be a bit of hyperbole but it's great to see him find joy in learning.

Owen (10)

Owen continues to be our voracious reader. He is in fourth grade now and most nights of the week can be found poolside. Some days he must take four showers between all the activities. That's a lot of laundry and a lot of food to keep him going.

Laura

Thanksgiving was a sweet and special timer as our families gathered together with us. Our plates were full and our home was full of love, laughter and sweet memories of the loved ones gone but never forgotten. Nana passed away this year on July 10. The words of one of her favorite songs will always be held close in my heart. We miss you Nana and will always remember you in love.❤️

May the good Lord be with you down every road you roam And may sunshine and happiness surround you when you're far from home And may you grow to be proud, dignified, and true And do unto others as you would have done to you

Be courageous and be brave And in my heart you'll always stay
Forever young, forever young Forever young, forever young
Travis

2022 wraps up another year for Travis. Several milestones deserve reflection, but one of particular interest is marking 25 years of (relatively consistently) journaling. This corpus has served as a great source of reflection in his life. Other highlights include continued career growth. He was appointed as Chair of the minimal Common Oncology Data Elements (mCODE™) Executive Committee. He also worked with one of his patients to share her story of being pregnant and carrying two children to term while undergoing cancer treatment. At home, he enjoys spending time with Laura, Owen, Gavin, and Willow. He clearly has not focused on maintaining this site outside of the annual Christmas update. Maybe that will be a 2023 goal.
